The Works by Kate Ascher

I saw this book by accident when I was browsing some titles in a little tiny bookshop in Bedford last night. As I paged through The Works: Anatomy Of A City by Kate Ascher, I was totally taken in by the sheer amount of information about New York City. It was incredible and so interesting. The book is a bunch of important and little-known facts about how the city is built, maintained, and organized. I wanted to buy it right then and there, but I knew better than to buy a book at retail price, so I came home, went to Overstock (I tried Amazon first…but it wasn’t the cheapest) and purchased the book right away. I should get it within the next couple of days.

I swear, this is the last book I’m buying until I find myself a steady summer job with decent cash flow. But dang, what a good last book it will be! I’m excited (like a nerd).
