A post title would be nice I suppose
Here’s a quick update of some things I’ve been reading and seeing.
Michael Moore is an idiot. And he’s fat.
I didn’t know Google Maps could incorporate videos, as you’ll seen in Google’s Summer of Green page, a place to help people find “green” activities this summer.
The man who came up with the whole idea of Mr. Softee has passed away; of cancer. Did you know the muscial tune that plays from each Mr. Softee truck has words?! Read the words in the NYTimes article. And hey, how timely, because I included Mr. Softee in my final seminar project this past semester–what a great tribute! I think I’ll go buy some Mr. Softee ice cream today.
Check out this Mister Softee bobble head figure. Cool, no?
Enid sent me this YouTube video and it’s hilarious: Nobody Can Copy Clay!!
And since I’ve been meaning to post this but I haven’t, here’s the evolution of dance (though many of you probably have already seen this elsewhere).
Hmm! There’s talk about Nintendo DS Lite’s being sold a few weeks earlier than the expected US launch date! WHEE! WHERE IS MY JOB?!
Getty Images has put together a fantastic interactive 10-piece project incorporating images to show us just how powerful images are to us. The project is called 10 Ways and it’s made up of 5 designers who have created web-based interactive experiments with Getty Images. Remember that never-ending zoom thing? Well, it’s from this project, so just imagine how cool the other 9 projects are!
My previous boss at Spa Finder once told me about the careful choices I must make in choosing stock photography, and she mentioned things that were very similar to this list of top ten stock photography clichés. Look at all of those ambiguous backgrounds, and I always hate it when people use cliché #7 (the “attempt-at-every-kind-and-race-in-one-photo” photo).
The guy who hosts the See Windows Vista site is one of the most boring hosts ever chosen to host anything. He doesn’t sound excited about this product release at all! Who is casting these people for these roles at Microsoft?! My goodness, this is so bad. So so bad. I’ve never been so bored in my life.
And they have a product called iBloks that “mashes” up media? Haha, what a retarded name! I’m beginning to think that the only thing going for Vista is their look and appearance. Other than that, their application ideas are pretty much shot. But what do I know?
The Break Up, starring Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston comes out tomorrow, and if you’re planning on seeing it, maybe you can make use of this 2-for-1 ticket deal from Fandango.
See some real-life break up stories on Google Video.
Alright, I’m going to fix the car now. I understand that many of you might not know why I’m going to fix the car since I didn’t write anything about it. So…I’ll do that when I get back.
