WHA HOO

June 9, 2006 @ 11:18 pm

I think I’ll start each entry with a video from YouTube if I can, since that seems to be the trend for me lately. And by the way, I’m quickly realizing that Flickr is much better than I initially thought since the beta. I go there EVERY SINGLE DAY now.

These dance moves are incredible, not because they are incredible, but because they are made in clay-mation! Thanks Joe!

stan smith kermit
These Adidas Stan Smith II “Kermit” shoes are hotness. I saw them in person the other day and they do look kinda cool. I would so buy them if I was making some good money.
These images were taken from the Adidas Press Room website. Tons of hi-res images to use and look at. Believe me, these shoes were bigger than life size before I resized them.

asics limber up asian
For a more “normal” looking shoe, this Asics Limber Up Asian (these colors) would be great. This could possibly be another summer shoe, once summer in New York actually starts (stupid rain!).

shredding scissors
These shredding scissors are a no-brainer tool that should have been made ages ago. I have no idea why they are only starting to appear now, but regardless, these things are the smartest “simple” tool to come out in a long time. Just think about all the bulk and dullness that is removed once you switch from using a machine shredder to these shredding scissors. Of course, you can’t shred as much at once, but anyone shredding that much more are probably just doing it because they already have the machine. [via]

Holy crap! This Taste of the New York Subway listing is incredible, with restaurants compiled by their respective local MTA train stops. This is so useful. [via]

I always thought the iPod dock was a bit silly and unnecessary for most iPod users. Even when I was given one, I didn’t use it much because I found it bothersome and a huge hassle to just fit on my desk. That is why this SendStation PocketDock Line-Out USB connector makes so much more sense in terms of usability and space conservation. The connector allows for maximum line-out sound quality (the regular mini jack doesn’t let out the highest possible sound quality) while allowing you to connect the iPod to a computer using a standard USB cable instead of the Apple-standard dock connector cable. This is truly a fantastic product I must get one day. [via]

Wow, that was quick. Popular Photography has a hands-on review of the new Sony Alpha 100 dSLR. Everything sounds quite good except for the fact that Sony has to be different so they name their ISO #s a totally different way (that’s really stupid, might I add). The built-in image stabilization in the camera body is definitely a plus and so is the eye-beam eye focusing system–it focuses as soon as your eye gets near the viewfinder. Cool! I want to hold it and play with it.

My blog entry ID #s are all out of whack. They keep jumping a few numbers between entries, yet I haven’t written anything or posted anything or deleted anything that would make it go out of order. It’s so weird. This is the only question I have about how WP works. I can’t understand why just viewing the WRITE page will create a new ID # even if I don’t write a post. It’s kinda stupid. Other than that, WP has so far been great (and you can sign up for a free blog at wordpress.com if you want to test out a slimmed down version of the regular WP).
