It’s a hot friday

Umm…this may sound crazy, but that shoe rack that I bought a couple of months ago is now full and I now have more shoes that can fit on that rack. Yeah, and working at Puma is no help to this situation either since I’ve already taken home two full pairs of shoes while working only 3 days (not to mention the tons of other apparel and accessories I’ve got that total a good amount of $).

Speaking of Puma shoes, today I was given a pair of freakishly awesome and rare Puma Disc Blaze shoes with the adjustable disc technology in green/purple/yellow (those exact colors in that link actually). I could probably make a good handful of money on this particular shoe style and color combo, but instead, I decided to take it for myself and wear them. Why? Because they are totally outrageous and in your face and they look so ugly that they actually look good! :) And let me also mention that these particular shoes are made of neoprene and they are possibly the most comfortable shoe I have ever put on my feet. It feels like I’m walking on cushions! Imagine these under blacklight. OOoooOooo!
I really love my internship at Puma and these perks are just fantastic. No joke.

Remember how I said I couldn’t find any information on my new Puma XS850’s? Well, I found them over at Solepedia (I actually handled the colors that are shown in that link). These shoes are also very comfortable. My feet have never been so happy!

Nacho Libre and The Lake House come out today! I want to see both! And I still want to see Cars!

I think the choice of phasing out Bill Gates from the day-to-day activities at Microsoft (by July 2008) so that he can focus on the work he has done through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation [wikipedia] is a really awesome decision.

Microsoft Corp. today announced that effective July 2008 Bill Gates, chairman, will transition out of a day-to-day role in the company to spend more time on his global health and education work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The company announced a two-year transition process to ensure that there is a smooth and orderly transfer of Gates’ daily responsibilities, and said that after July 2008 Gates would continue to serve as the company’s chairman and an advisor on key development projects.

Did you know that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is the world’s wealthiest charitable foundation? That’s also really cool. I have great respect for these two. And I think whatever gripes one may have with Gates and his Microsoft Corporation, one must also acknowledge that the Gates really have done a lot to change the world.

Heh, The Pirate Bay’s got a nice new flaming logo.

I really like that Fort Minor song, Where’d You Go (this video may or may not be taken offline soon), that’s been playing on the radio. That hook is crazy. And the flash version of the Fort Minor website is kinda neat. Check it out. It’s by Sparkart.

In the Marvel comic book world, Spiderman is going to reveal his identity!

Look at the new Netscape portal. I think the usefulness of portals has come and gone a long time ago. Who really needs a portal these days to dive into the internet?

Amazon.com now sells groceries. I’m not sure what this’ll mean for companies like Fresh Direct, which I hear is quite handy when it comes to throwing parties. I can’t imagine ordering groceries online though. I think I just like going to the supermarket too much to want to give up that liberty so easily.

Do take a look at The Photoshop Experiment blog. An artist by the name of Cory Godbey has documented (screenshot-by-screenshot) the process in which he works to create a finished piece of computer-aided illustration and coloring. It’s really really really good and totally inspiring. Wow, how does someone even get this good?! I need him to teach me! You can also surf over to Light Night Rains, his “real” blog where he posts lots of other artwork.

I purposely made this post not so long because I want EVERYBODY to enjoy the nice weather that’s set for this wonderful Friday! It’s gonna be HOT. So wear as little as possible. I think I’ll walk around naked tomorrow!
