I think I’ll call this post Pam Beesley just because I can
Haha, funny thing happened today. My grandma has a lot of these weird puzzles (brain teasers) that involve you taking a ring out of a loop or trying to get metal rods to disconnect, etc. Anyway, every once in a while, she’ll give them to me as a mind stimulant and tell me that if I can solve the puzzle, she’ll give me $50. Of course, usually, these puzzles are EXTREMELY hard so I don’t ever finish them which means I never do receive $50. Sometimes, I just give up because I haven’t been able to solve any of them…until today. She gave me a new one and she told me the same thing: $50 if you solve it and get the ring out of this metal metal M-shaped rod. I took it because I didn’t want to disrespect her and before I knew it, I had solved the damned thing! I was like…WHAT! And then I showed her, and she gave me $50. Ahh, my grandma is awesome. :)
I’m sorry, but I must push this issue: START USING GTALK IF YOU ARE NOT USING GTALK ALREADY!
Pam Beesley has a MySpace! From what I gather, it is actually Jenna Fischer (the woman’s real name) updating as Pam Beesley from the hit TV show, The Office. Yay for Pam Beesley! I wish JustJared would dig up some awesome photos of Jenna Fischer.
A new bill was recently introduced in New York to raise the legal age of smoking and/or purchasing cigarettes from 18 to 21. If this new bill to gets passed, smoking, along with buying spray paint and purchasing/drinking alcohol will be prohibited until the age of 21. Not that I smoke and not that I drink anymore (since I actually think I am mildly allergic to alcohol), but I do need to buy spray paint every once in a while, and I find it extremely annoying that an age has been set to deem it safe for me to own such things. I think it’s reasonable to put it at 18, since that’s also legal adult age, and as adults we are held accoutable for our own actions anyway.
I often break the law because I sometimes carry spray paint with me and attempt to buy it through loopholes at local stores (I am lucky sometimes). And since I do run the risk of being arrested or tickets (or both), I felt that reading up on how to kill 90-days worth of jail time was worth my energy. It’s quite a long discussion and some of the suggestions are downright retarded and probably not allowed. But the consensus seems to be that in order to stay alive and mentally stable, your mind does need some form of simple exercise. Easy. [via]
Koreans have an odd way of protesting supposedly unfair World Cup referees.
I didn’t know this, but you can watch the Transformers movie teaser at their website. When was this released? I have a feeling Michael Bay will butcher this film. -_-
I could be wrong though.
Have a good Saturday!
