On the laptop!
I am updating mobily (is that a word) on a laptop. My dekstop has sorta been out of commission for the past week because something is up with the network card in it. I haven’t had time to fix it just yet, so I’m on a laptop for the time being.
Is your state overweight? Wow, America really is FAT. :O
Here are several descriptions of different types of fat people. I know a lot of people who fall under the “feeling fat” category.
If you’ve noticed lately, Sprite, the lemon-lime beverage from the Coca-Cola Company has debuted their new logo and new drink can. I personally think it looks hideous and I wish they would just reinstate the old can. Drinking Sprite isn’t so enjoyable anymore. :(
Wow, this is a super huge hi-res photo of the new Sprite can (secondary link here, just in case).
MSN.com got a small facelift recently. I don’t know when exactly, but it looked different last night than it did previously before.
Panographies are just one of those things that you can do to make your panorama photos more interesting. Panographies are wide-angle pictures composed of several individual photos manually stitched together. The results of doing such a thing are quite cool to look at and it reminds me of those cut and paste projects I used to do in grade school. I’m gonna try this as soon as I get my computer back up and running.
Square Circle is a very nice site. I love how the menu works. But I’m not a big fan of the OSX-like Quick Nav at the bottom. Just check it out.
And this is why I would love to work at Fuse. I just like how everything looks over there.
Mark Jenkins’ street installations of seemingly real people are so funny. The videos of people interacting and reacting to the figures are even better than the photos. Do check them out. [via]
Availabot in action.
Availabot is a little USB extension for your computer that stands upright when a particular buddy on your buddy list signs on. When he/she signs off, Availabot falls over. This thing could be LOADS of fun if set up right. Imagine logging on and off after setting up a friend’s computer to react to your online presence.
Umm, this guy can blow PERFECT circular bubbles in the water.
I didn’t get to catch this the other day, but Last.fm’s new look also came with a new open-source plugin program called Last.fm. I downloaded it to try it out and wow, it is WAY better than the old standard separate plugins that you used to have to download for Winamp, iTunes, etc.
Last.fm is now a standalone program that still transmits your music habits, but it also displays on-demand music info JUST in case you wanted to know a little bit more of what you were listening to. I think it’s a lot better. Some people may disagree, but I say that if you don’t like it, you should just close it to the system tray. It uses absolutely no resources. You can also now tag your songs. Not that I will, but if you wanted to before, you can now.
If you’re a Last.fm user too, BE MY FRIEND.
OK, I am moving!
