Puma + Fader Gen F Live @ Avalon
I was invited to a Puma + Fader Magazine fashion show party at Avalon on Tuesday. The party was part of the Puma Gen F Live multi-city tour sponsored and put on by Fader magazine.
The event started at 8PM, and the line to go in was already becoming quite long before it even turned 8. The party was neat, mostly because it was my first Puma-sponsored event that I actually went to (I was invited to some others, but I couldn’t make those). Unfortunately, it being a Tuesday night, the party died down rather quickly after the live performances, but no fear, because I was totally up for alternatives.
What was also nice was seeing the clothing that I see just about every week modeled and worn on actual moving people! It was refreshing to say the least after having seen these styles hang on racks for weeks on end.

First off, big thanks to Melissa for coming with me to this fantastic fashion show and party held at Avalon. It was definitely fun dancing with her amidst the crowd.
How come I’m red and she’s not?!

These shiny bands got us in ahead of the line. No ID checks (it was a 21 only party because of open bar), no frisking, nothing! We were allowed straight in as VIP. Go Puma hookups. :)

Here’s DJ Cosmo (of The Rub) spinning some audible yum.

Puma Golf apparel and footwear

Back shot of the Evisu jeans, part of a Puma collboration with the jean company known as “the Rolls-Royce of Jeans”.

There was this Asian model walking down the runway that looked so odd. It’s not the shadow over her face either. I think it was the fact that her makeup made her look so dead. Her lips were lighter than her skin. I don’t understand why she looked so weird while everybody else was looking normal.

This model was pretty, in that caked-on-make-up kind of way. Her hair was quite frizzy, but it contributed to a certain look that I think went well with her.

A shot of the Puma + Ferrari collaborations in apparel.

I know it’s not much of a photo, but here is the small Puma shoe corner on display inside Avalon, featuring shoes from Puma Black as well as some special edition Puma RS-100’s (blue, orange, green, and purple).

J*Davey’s band under some red lights

People were pretty pleased with J*Davey’s performance that night. Lots of dancing and shouting.

And here’s J*Davey doing her thing.

It was a Tuesday night, so we ended it with fried chicken from 69 and some mango smoothies.
