Dance all night
Hello folks. It’s been quite a while since my last REAL update. I keep posting stupid videos in place of writing. Good for you, bad for me. Well, good for me too actually, since it’s easier. But bad because it means I have multiple tabs open on my computer. Thank goodness for Tab Mix Plus though. Yum!
It’s only been about a day or so since I’ve unpacked the DS Lite, but so far, it’s been super fun. I’m playing Norman’s New Super Mario Bros. game at the moment only because I haven’t decided on which game to buy yet. I want something fun and easy, not fun and hard. But thanks for the suggestions so far. They’ve been helpful in getting my decision finalized.
Actually, I was so excited about opening the DS Lite that I forgot to mention the new secrets for this week!
Goggles is so cool! It’s a virtual flight simulator for a list of places on Earth, Moon, and Mars. Haha. You control the plane with your directional keys. Be careful to not fly the plane too low though. You can probably guess what’ll happen. :)
Keep watching those webisodes of The Office. They’re short and good (and you won’t have to worry about me posting them here).
Google’s been testing a new video page layout for their videos and so far, I’m really liking it. You can jump in on the testing by simply right-clicking on this javascript link and copying it into your URL bar. When you do that, just click on the link that says to try the new page layout, and you’re there! I really like the new layout. It doesn’t blow up each video to crazy proportions so that means that your videos won’t look like c.r.a.p. I’m pretty satisfied by it.

Everything is a bit crazier down in Sydney. Why? Check out some photos of the Atomix - Full of Love, Full of Wonder exhibition taking place at the New South Wales Art Gallery. It’s an enormous art installation counting more than 50,000 polystyrene balls hanging in mid-air. If I was in Sydney, I’d so go and see this. Maybe it’ll cross the ocean and open on this side of the world in the future.
Urban Counterfeiters is a blog dedicated to outing the many corporate thefts of ideas and designs from smaller independent artists. Kinda crazy what they get away with.
Promote Smirnoff raw tea partays…playa. Hahaha.
I think the reason I’m so fascinated with legos is because they remind me of real-life pixels. Ok, that was dumb. To make up for that, take a look at the city of Venice recreated entirely out of Legos.
I really love the Threadless Buster Brown tee ($25). Why not buy some Threadless today?
Popgadget (yeah, I know, for women, but this particular one isn’t gender-specific) gives a good heads up on the EnduraPro keyboards that I remember using when I first sat in front of a computer. All I can really remember is that they were incredibly loud when you typed on them. You could push them down really slowly and it would buckle into the keystroke at a certain point which made it feel really neat. This was all many years ago when keyboards were “new” to me.
Anyway, I’ve been in the market for a new keyboard lately since my Logitech MX Duo is starting to fail me. It’s only been a little over a year since I started using it too (I got it when I was at Rutgers–wow, a year has passed)! Talk about short product life though. Ehh, this doesn’t speak much about Logitech quality. :O

Sure the EnduraPro keyboards look archaic, but they’ve got good “feel”. And I’d rather have that than anything else.

Lately, Sony has had their fair share of news duds, from the overpriced PS3 to the huge loss of PSP fans because of the DS Lite to just making some really crappy next-generation music players with proprietary formats. But the announcement of the Sony Mylo (coming September 2006) looks promising. You can chat on the device (Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, and Skype), listen to music, watch videos, stream music and videos, use it as a storage device, and surf the web. It sounds quite powerful and fun, in my opinion. But if Sony puts any restrictions on this thing like they did to the PSP, you can be sure it’ll go down down down to the burning ring of fire…

I’ve been listening to two albums a lot lately. One, of course, is Teenage Graffiti by The Pink Spiders. The other, surprise surprise, is Under The Iron Sea by Keane. The Pink Spiders are still new music to me so it would make sense that I’m listening to them a lot (I think they’re gonna be keepers). But the latest album from Keane was sort of a disappointment to me AT FIRST when I began listening to it a couple of months back. BUT…for some reason it has really grown on me and now I really love it. I was almost on the verge of trashing the album last week and that’s why I began to listen to it again just to make sure that I wasn’t going to regret throwing it away. Thank goodness I did listen to it again. It just seemed like the right moment to hear. Put It Behind You is an awesome song, but really, the entire album is full of personal hits. I like I like I like!
