Do you know what the Wilhelm Scream is? It’s a stock sound effect used in lots of movies since the 1950s (Wikipedia article has list of uses). You might not have realized it being used–I didn’t–but after you watch the above iFilm clip, you’re head will explode at just how exploited this sound effect really is in the entertainment industry. NBC’s video mash of Pam and Jim moments from The Office. I posted this already, but now that NBC has put it on YouTube, I think I should post it again as an embedded video.
Remember Sony’s Bravia bouncing ball commercial featuring the song Heartbeats by José González? The purpose of that commercial was to show the clarity and vividness of the Bravia televisions. And what better way to do that than to film countless colorful bouncing balls going down a San Francisco street, right?
Well, it looks like Sony Bravia is up to the feat once again, this time engulfing an entire building in the UK in an explosion of colorful paint. The official Bravia ad hasn’t been released yet, but there are amateur videos of the event from people who were nearyby while the crew was filming. You can see some of the videos below.
