LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THE WEEK! WHHHEEEEE!!!!

Hello! I’m wearing my new Puma Majesty Snake shoes and a special Puma Camelbak-like water pouch/backpack! The shoes have a hideously tacky but incredibly fun snakeskin pattern all over the shoe! You can see it in all of its hi-res glory here. Or if you catch me on the street, I might be wearing these around just to rile up some sneaker freaks who might be wondering why I’m actually wearing the shoe rather than encasing it in a museum. Stupid.
Whee! New privacy settings for Facebook. The protests, pokes, notes, comments, and news articles worked I guess!

The remaining three office towers for the former World Trade Center site have been unveiled and I must say, they sure do look good!
Along with the Santiago Calatrava-designed PATH Transportation Hub, the three towers, bounded by Church Street to the east and a reintroduced Greenwich Street to the west, will occupy the length of the east side of the World Trade Center site. In keeping with the Libeskind master plan for the site, the towers will form a descending spiral toward the Memorial and will include 6.2 million square feet of office space and a half million square feet of interconnected and contiguous first-class retail.
The three towers were designed to seamlessly integrate with what will be newly-created pedestrian thoroughfares along the reconnected grid at Cortlandt and Dey Streets, the WTC Transportation Hub, which sits between the towers at 200 and 175 Greenwich, and the rest of the downtown neighborhood, including the Fulton Street Transit Center.

The WTC website has all of the photos available for hi-res download, but I guess a lot of people have been swamping the site with image requests because at the time of this post, the WTC website is offline. Anyway, I went ahead and zipped most of the images for you. You can download them with this zshare link. The file is 44.19 MB.
I really love Welcome Home by Jonezetta (you can listen to the track on their Pure Volume page). The band hails from Tooth & Nail records, the same record company that Anberlin, The Fold, Run Kid Run, and Mae are a part of.
And even better, Jonezetta is touring with Mute Math from October 22 to November 19, which means I’ll be able to catch them at a live show when the tour comes to New York on November 1 or when they go to Boston on November 5!!!
Widely known fact: Mute Math is my favorite band.
OMG. Kaliber10000 (k10k.net) has gotten a small facelift and it looks better. Still pixelated though, heh, as it will probably always be.
This video (above) is part 1 of 5 of a Russell Peters comedy show. It’s not as funny as his other stuff (and he repeats some things), but it’s Russell Peters, so it’s worth a watch. :)
His new DVD, Outsourced, was released on August 29th on CD+DVD. Not that I support it at all, but it just so happens that Outsourced has been showing up on torrent downloading sites.
For those of you who use Gtalk and are annoyed that there is no bolding of text (or any text stylizing whatsoever), I think you’ll be happy to know that if you put asterisks on both ends of what you want in bold, it will appear in bold when you send the IM. Thanks Simon.
The other day I also accidentally discovered that pressing F11 when a chat window is open will initiate a call with that person. Pushing F12 will end the call. Apparently, there are lots of tips and tricks for Gtalk that I know nothing about.
