These are images I took at the Tribute In Light on September 11, 2005.
Unfortunately, I do not think I will be able to make it downtown to view the tribute lights this year. I’ll see if I get let out early from my class or something…
The Tribute In Light memorial will be up again tonight at sundown.
Here is a full list of memorials and activities taking place to remember 9/11. It’s listed by U.S. State name, so you can just search for your state.
Victims:
Front pages:
- Wikipedia’s archive of the New York Times front page
- International newspaper headlines on September 12
- National newspaper headlines on September 12
- More newspaper front pages at Newseum
It’s so weird, I remember that NYT front page so well and vividly too.
I’m surprised that CBS hasn’t taken these two short clips of their special 9/11 documentary off of YouTube. Until they do, you can choose to watch them: Part 1 & Part 2. There’s definitely more to the documentary, but it’s not on YouTube, obviously.
Time Magazine also has some chilling first-hand accounts of 5 people who survived the attacks.

I hope you don’t mind….I stole your pic (w/credit, of course) for my xanga. they are beautiful shots.
