TITAL!

Today I was walking around and I thought, “Hey, why not make an update for absolutely no reason?”
And so, I did.

Microsoft Zune looks neat! The official Zune website still does nothing for us.

People in the US are about to look really stupid this season, if Fashion Week in New York has anything to say about it. My goodness, aren’t we supposed to be making fun of 80’s chic fashion, not embracing it?!

Since fashion week opened last Friday, solids, not prints, have dominated the runways. When there has been colour, it’s been canary yellow, shocking pink or bright orange. Von Furstenberg, for example, revisited the traditional little black dress, but cinched it with a large pink belt, and offered an 80s-style bustier ensemble in stretch fabric.

That’s just nasty. Blech.
I once read that going for a classic style is almost always better than embracing something that’s hip at the moment. Why? Well, because people tend to be embarassed by things that are hip now later on in their lives, whereas classic styles usually stay like so for quite a while.

Claudia Mitchell is the first woman (and 4th person) to receive a robot bionic arm! Wow, just look at that thing! It’s straight out of a sci-fi flick. And…seriously, why couldn’t they make an arm that’s the same color as her skin? I guess asking for that is just totally ridiculous, huh.

Jelle van Dun has created a pretty neat stop-motion video about his animated digital video game life that’s just something to see. I really do think the music is fitting to this video. Heh, great work. I’d like to do something like this one day, except not with video games.

Get the car out of the room! This is very much like those other games where you have to find a way out of the room by finding objects and figuring out what to do with them. But for some reason, this one was more fun. I beat it and it didn’t take too long. It’s some good fun. :)

Don’t forget that coming soon to Rockefeller Center is the Sky Mirror by Anish Kapoor, a large reflective sphere that will invert the buildings and people surrounding it.
If you’re confused, just think of it as a “Bean” for NYC.

I didn’t bother calling it because I thought it was simply a made up phone number, but apparently the phone number on Dwight Schrute’s business card magnet that came in The Office Severance Package actually goes through. Listen to the audio for 1-800-984-DMPC here.

I don’t know about you, but I think the front pages on September 11, 2006 are absolutely stunning. Mostly good tributes all around, but I think the one that stands out the most is New York’s Daily News.

I am listening to All I Need by Mat Kearney and at a little past 3 minutes, the song gets goin’ real well.
