Google acquired YouTube today for $1.65 Billion in stock!

Google announced today that they will acquire YouTube, the online video giant, for $1.65 billion in a stock-for-stock transaction.

This now makes Google the main cause of most my time-wasting spent online!! Now all Google has to do is buy Facebook and they’re all set in terms of getting my full 100% online attention span. :O

On a completely unrelated note: I live in Midtown Manhattan, and there seems to be some kind of huge emergency at the moment somewhere in the vicinity. Lots of firetrucks blaring their sirens and zooming through. There’s a helicopter in the sky. No news yet though. I wonder what’s going on…
