Out of touch

I love Snow Patrol. And now I’m beginning to like Vega4. The two bands have absolutely nothing to do with each other, but on first listen, Vega4’s sound was very similar to Snow Patrol…so I thought I’d just go ahead and compare them. Anyway, if you watched the latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy [Let The Angels Commit], their first single Life Is Beautiful played at the part where the woman is having her babies delivered in the operating room. You can listen to a stream of that single here [WMP stream], or you can go on iTunes and listen to it there.

By the way, I didn’t know ABC did this, but apparently they make it easy to find out what songs played on each episode of Grey’s Anatomy through their website.

Ok, all Bible-bashing aside, this video of the re-telling of the book of Job from the Bible is, more or less, an excellent video story production. I wish I was a more creative Christian so I could do a version of this in a good way. Regardless of how bad the video is though, you have to admit, it looks fantastic the way it does. Plus, it’s funny.

I know where this is. I saw it when it was an empty building. I saw it when it was being constructed. I saw it in a place I don’t go often anymore.

Holy crap! The Borat film got some crazy high ratings from both critics and “regular people”. This is the first time I’ve ever seen a film rated so highly on both sides. I can’t wait to see this movie film!!

Wow, it’s absolutely fantastic to see Times Square completely empty! HDR sure does wonders to places. :)
This is a nice shot too.

Mute Math uploaded a whole bunch of videos to their YouTube account today. Check ‘em out.

BIG REMOTE. You can forget about the days where losing the remote was commonplace. You can buy it here. Hehe, this looks fun!

If you need a new profile picture or if you need to just resize an image and you don’t have access to an appropriate image-resizing program, then mypictr will be of great use to you. It even includes the correct image sizes for many popular profile-needing websites so you won’t have to bother looking up the photo dimensions. Great website, you should bookmark it for use later.

2generation-ipodshuffle
The images of the 2 generation iPod shuffle on the Apple front page look so fake. I think it has something to do with the iPod shuffle not having any shine or shadow in comparison to the clothing that it sits on. The only one that looks close to being realistic is the one where it sits on the shirt collar. I mean, they could be actual photo images, but whatever post-production they did to them made them look real odd.

Need for Speed Carbon came out this past week! I don’t know if I should play it yet since I haven’t fully beaten Most Wanted yet. But man, it looks good so far just from looking at the full website. EEK! So many more cars this time.
I always hear and read reviews about how the NFS titles aren’t getting any better, but I seem to like each and every advance title of the series. I don’t know. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I like crashing into things and not having to worry about my own body flying through the windshield. Maybe this game makes me drive the way I do? Ehh, I don’t know.

Carbon has this cool customization feature called Autosculpt that lets you sculpt the features on your car. One level up in the customization scheme I guess. I want to see how this is.

Guilty pleasure of the moment: The Veronicas. HAHAHAHAHAHA! I’ve never heard such catchy pop-rock since Kelly Clarkson took the scene by storm!

…And just for fun, here’s Neoplanet, one of the web’s first customizable web browsers. Does anybody remember using this? I do. It was just about the coolest thing way back when. Apparently, it looks like it’s a dead project now. So dead in fact that they don’t even have a Wikipedia entry dedicated to them.

Finally, a hearty “good luck” to my cousin, Betty, who is running the full ING NYC Marathon tomorrow! Yep, that’s 26 miles! Beware of bridge and street closings however.
