Connie and Victor’s wedding

ALRIGHT! Finally, I get to sit down and re-cap a bit on this incredibly crazy Thanksgiving weekend. I know most of you won’t read too much before jumping straight to the photos, so I’ll keep it short.

I had to read a passage from Song of Songs chapter 2 that really made me laugh. It was unlike any other wedding passage I’ve ever heard (although Norman tells me that the exact same passage was read just a week ago at Dan’s wedding) — I really don’t remember that. Anyway there were funny words in there like gazelle, stag, arise, pruning, quench…basically, words I never say. Ever. I was so scared I’d laugh and totally screw up the wedding ceremony. Thank goodness I was able to think about really sad and depressing things like disease, famine, and wars to curb my laughter. Does that make me a bad person? :O

Well, here they are! Connie and Victor!

Almost my entire family was here in NY (some of them still are, actually). Here are a few of them. Introducing…

Linda!

Betty! And that little tiny hand is Jayden.

Bobby!

Tracy!

Yung-pa. “Huh.”

Here are the bridesmaids, all decked out in Chinese red.

And here are the groomsmen, all decked out in…black.

There were way too many people to get a really good shot, so I just sorta gave up taking photos after a while. But here is the best photo I got of Connie and her wedding dress.

The wedding was traditional Catholic, and boy, was it boring! I really don’t understand how people sit in Catholic mass every week.

But after a long while, Connie and Victor finally get wedded!

All done! WHOO!

The reception took place at Battery Gardens, near Battery Park. It was a very nice place with a fantastic view of NY harbor and the Statue of Liberty. If I brought better equipment with me, I would have a better photo of the harbor to show. But for now, here’s this…

This would be a great place to just hang out and chill. No, not Liberty Island. I mean the place where I’m standing to take the photo.

There were 5 active Nintendo DS Lite’s at the wedding reception. Multiplayer Tetris and Mario Kart are sooooo fun. Haha, what other family brings DS Lite’s to a wedding? Only the Yung family! :D

_MG_2652
More DS!

Several years ago, I played at Bobby and Tracy’s wedding. And now here they are with kids! What a funny bunch!

Here are my sisters Tiffany and Emily singing a duet to Connie and Victor.

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…”

Here’s the wedding cake. I like how it looks.

This little girl is Macy.

IMG_5667
She’s a little party animal, as her mom Judy (right) puts it. Macy kept me busy on the dance floor most of the night.

IMG_5666
Macy really liked playing with my digital camera. Maybe she’ll be a photographer one day. The last few photos in this Flickr set were taken by her.

I can’t seem to escape High School Musical…ever.

_MG_2688
This photo looks better smaller, since it’s blurry to begin with. Here’s the family.

_MG_2690
My dad always stands with his hands over his belly (or resting on his belly), so Norman, Tiff, and Emily are trying to do the same. My dad is a happy fatty!

The 5 of us.
