Joyce and I ran into a real-life black Santa on Thursday, complete with striped NY Yankees hat. See my photostream for more photos.

The Microsoft Zune is up for grabs at Amazon.com for $90 this coming Tuesday as a part of Amazon.com’s Customer Vote deal. Not a bad deal at all. Man, if I win it, I’d gladly pay for it. Vote now and then get ready when it is announced on Tuesday, December 12. Whee!

How to get the most out of a break from college. Why is it that I find myself reading this list so often? School really is just killing me slowly.

What?! BitTorrent, Inc. acquired uTorrent? This comes just days after BitTorrent announced that they had scored a lucrative deal with major Hollywood film studios and TV networks to be an online media distributor. Hmm, I smell something fishy in uTorrent’s future now that they’re all in the same bed. :(

People Like Us make some really neat tees. Unfortunately for me, they all sell at premium prices. Check out their store to see their clothing lineup.

Four artists in Detroit, MI have come together to address the social and economic epidemic of numerous abandoned houses being left in Detroit’s poor neighborhoods. If you’re familiar with James Q. Wilson and George L. Kelling’s “broken window theory”, then you’ll already know the idea behind this urban project.

Basically, what these 4 artists do is they paint abandoned houses a bright orange so that they stick out even more, thus hopefully leading those with power to begin the tear-down process so that certain neighborhoods don’t look so dilapidated. I’d say it’s a pretty ambitious project, but it looks like they’re getting some good results. Good luck to them! [via]

NOTCOT has a nifty little post with suggestions as to where you may want to look for gifts for that special someone (or for the person you have no idea what to get).

Ciril Jazbec Photography. Great eye-candy.

OMG! Winterbells from Orisinal is sooooo fun! Just get your rabbit to bounce from one bell to the next by moving your mouse. If you fall, you lose. Very simple, but totally addicting, as most Orisinal games are anyway.
