A quick one because I think I’ve lost my iPod

Ethan and I drove into New Jersey yesterday to take some large format 4×5 photos. We didn’t really have any particular destination in mind so we just drove until we saw something interesting–and something interesting we did see! I’ve always been fascinated by the shipping docks and ports in and around Newark, NJ, and on Saturday, Ethan and I got a chance to be in one up close. I never thought going into these places was going to be easy, especially with all the suspicion going around about terrorists, plotters, and criminals who could possibly make these locations an easy target.

Anyway, this is how easy it was to get in there: you drive into the lot. Yep, that’s right. You just friggin’ go in. No security, no cop, no employee telling you to leave. We just drove our big vehicle in there and parked it right next to a huge pile of freight containers. It was awesome. Here are some photos below. Enjoy!

This place was really amazing. There were so many containers just lying around, most of them closed but some of them open and empty. Ethan and I were thinking that this place would make a spectacular paintball or go-cart facility because of its sheer size. I’m definitely gonna try to go back sometime when it’s warm. Maybe I can do another photo shoot there.

I’ve made a new category just for Jamal, because he’s so cool and fun.
Jamal is getting TIPPPPSSSYYYY
Here is Jamal drinking Eric’s Blue Moon!

Jamal takes a car ride!
“Yeaaahhhh! Car ride, nukka!”

Hehehe, whee! That was fun.

There’s an amazing post over at the Consumerist about how Verizon reps can’t tell the difference between dollars and cents. Check out the video below of one man’s attempts at teaching Verizon’s cusomter service reps some elementary level math. They still don’t get it. Geez.

This can’t be good for Verizon at all…
Editor’s note: Verizon sucks.

This is a wonderful read:

On December 5th, a Croatian man named Nico awoke to find a map his girlfriend had left him featuring a specific path she wanted him to take to work; along the way he saw stencils, paint, aerosol, collage wheat pastes & other art she had laid out in the pre-dawn hours letting him know how much she loved him.

The girlfriend who went did all that artwork through all that effort to show her love is just awesome. I can’t wait till my girlfriend does that for me.

Ok, this was short. Sleep now. Tough week ahead. Even tougher if I find out in the morning that my iPod is GONE. :|
