Happy New Year! (pt. 2)
Yesterday was last year. Today is the new year! And my my, how good it feels to start fresh again. I never really do make new year’s resolutions so unfortunately I don’t have any progress to report about concerning any sort of completed or uncompleted resolutions from last year. The same will go for this year as well. I’m not going to make any new year’s resolutions. I’ll just take what life has to offer in full stride and hope that 2007 will be just as eventful, exciting, and interesting as 2006. Cheers to the new year, folks!
Oh! And thanks Sandra for letting us bust through your doors on New Years! Hot salsa con queso is delicious! I’ll post photos soon. :P
Now here are some random goodies…
This is the music video to Starlight by Muse. It is an awesome song.
I believe this Chevy Silverado morphing commercial is new, but I wouldn’t know for sure since I don’t watch much TV. Anyway, I thought this was a neat commercial. If only cars could be so flexible.
It’s official now: The American death toll in Iraq has now passed the death toll of the attacks on September 11, 2001. It is currently at 3000.
I’m a late-comer for sure, but I just started watching Prison Break at Joyce’s last night, and WOW, am I impressed. That show is sooooooo good! Why have I not gotten myself addicted until now? AND…now that I am addicted, why do I not have more episodes to watch??? AHH! I must get the rest of season 1 and 2 from somebody. I stopped at episode 7 or 8 or something. NOOO! It also feels so good to watch too because the episodes are so much longer than the typical half-hour show. AHH! I am going through Prison Break withdrawal and it’s only been one day!
Luke Chueh’s work is both morbid and humorous (in a dark, dark, dark, very dark way). Maybe you’d like seeing it. He’s the same artist that drew Brian (the dog) in the Family Guy interpretive art exhibit that I posted about on JustJared a few weeks ago.
I think it’d be pretty neat to put my computer into a bass kick drum. [via]
My sister got a Microsoft Zune for Christmas and I got to really take a look at it and test it first-hand. I’ll say right off the bat [ka-chow!] that when compared to the Apple iPod, the Zune’s interface is ten gazillion times cooler and faster [and more fluid] than the iPod’s. Also, despite what other “official news sites” are writing, I thought the Zune software was quite easy to figure out and use (lots of people were complaining that the Zune software wasn’t iTunes. Uh…no duh??!!). Apple’s iTunes software has become quite slow in the past few updates so I welcomed the Zune software’s incredibly fast interface. Yum! Doobybrain.com recommends the Zune. :)
Oh, and if you’re interested, you can see some screenshots of the Zune install screens in my Zune flickr set.
Here’s a great photo of 11 Spring.
It’s a new year! And there are new secrets!
The next couple of days are going to be so crazy. I’m literally doing something every moment of the day. Tomorrow is Josh/Sook & Danica/Yelena, then the day after is Kat/DJ & maybe Michelle and her sister Natalie, and then some Ivy. Then Thursday is Enid, Jeff, & Winnie (maybe more) in Michigan! Dang, this is gonna be a tiring but exciting week! Whew! Let’s roll!
- New Zune firmware installed
- Saturday sums
- Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida” Apple iTunes ad
- The Zune interface is nice
