Time ticks by, where did you go!

Everybody say hi to Arthur, because he’s reading Doobybrain.com through its RSS feed!

So The New School (the school I go to for those who don’t know) has implemented this new security card system for the entire school. It’s called “newcard”. Going along with The New School’s dumb name, here is their dumb card.

Campus Card Services is pleased to introduce the “newcard” to The New School community. The newcard is now the official university ID card for all university employees, and degree, certificate, and general credit students. The old laminated ID cards will not be recognized as the official university identification. (Validation stickers will no longer be issued.)

Your newcard should be carried with you at all times for access to the following services; building and dorm room access, use of consortium libraries, dining services, and more to come! University employees are welcome to utilize the Dining Dollars program to use at our university dining facilities. Additional information can be obtained from Campus Card Services.

I went into the office to get my new ID today and they had to print mine three different times! Once because it didn’t print out, the second because my name was spelled wrong (the stupid ‘Young’ mistake), and the third was my actual ID to take home.
new parsons ID card
Here’s what the new ID looks like. I like this one a lot more for a few reasons. One being that it’s not crooked like my old one. The second because they told me when they were gonna take the picture, so I smiled. This is the ONLY ID card I have now that has me smiling and I like it because of that. I don’t quite put on a very good serious face.

This was one of the songs in the most recent Scrubs episode (season 6, episode 6), where almost the entire episode was sung as if it were a musical. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth checking out. I have the episode, so you can get it from me, but you might as well just download the torrent — it’ll be much faster.

Strongbad gets an image overhaul. Extra points to the gang for using the word ‘parsons’ in this skit.

I used to want the Samsung D900 “Black Carbon” slider phone. But because Samsung is such an awesome company, they are now making me want their newest and two slimmest phones — the Samsung Ultra Edition 10.9 slider and/or the Samsung Ultra Edition 5.9. I really think Samsung makes some of the best mobile phone devices around, and for this area specifically, thin seems to be in (and working quite well for them). Find out more at Samsung’s Ultra Edition website.

It’s that time again for me to make a list of movies I want to see. Here it goes!

  • Children of Men - I love movies about a retarded near-future. I mean, women not being able to give birth is pretty retarded, right? Anyway, this movie looks really good and I can’t wait to see it.
  • 300 - Even if it’s a bad movie, it’s gonna blow my mind because of the way it looks.
  • Bridge to Terabithia - OMG! I can’t believe they’re making a movie out of this book! I loved this book when I read it as a kid. This could be good! :)
  • Happily Never After - Fairytales gone wrong are always good flicks.
  • Balls of Fury - Hahaha!
  • Shrek The Third - AWESOME!
  • Bee Movie - It comes out in November (a long time away) but I like Jerry Seinfeld, and he’s making the movie.
  • The Simpsons Movie
  • The Last Mimzy
  • Renaissance - This movie looks awesome! Literally.
  • Zodiac - Seems suspenseful and thrilling.

Here’s the trailer for Bridge To Terabithia. Yay!! I should probably buy a new copy of the book since I can’t seem to find my old copy.

Hehe: How to make your car look like the cars in Cars.

I had no idea that credit card numbers were so telling! I should have figured it out though since everything these days seems to have a deeper and larger reasoning behind it.

Wow, who the heck do you know that can draw a perfect circle? This is pretty neat.

Yay, I’m a happy boy! By the way, that came incredibly fast. It’s from Brooklyn though, so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised.

Etsy, the web’s home for all things hand-made, has this funky Tetris tote on sale for $25 +s/h. The description does say that the person “playing” the game is having a bad go at it, but hey, it’s still nerdy and cool all at the same time. It’s unfortunate that I don’t know a single girl who would actually buy this bag though. Oh well. [via]

Oh man, this looks like so much fun! It’s kinda like horizontal bungee jumping…or something.

Did you know that Grimace, the fun-loving purple blob with two arms and a head who was Ronald McDonald’s friend, actually used to be a bad guy called “the evil Grimace”???

When Grimace first debuted on television screens in McDonald’s commercials in 1971 he did not debut as Ronald McDonald’s right hand man. Far from it! In fact, Grimace was originally a four-armed cave dwelling beast who went by the moniker “The evil Grimace” and stole the milkshakes of McDonaldland.

Grimace started his days as a four-armed villain with a hankering for creamy drinks.

That’s so weird! Grimace was always that shady character in those McDonald’s commercials that made me wonder when I was older what the hell he was. Everybody else in McDonaldland was more or less identifiable, but Grimace was just…a purple thing. Read more about Grimace’s history, or you can probably just check Wikipedia (but it might not be as in-depth). [via]

Despite all the things that are “wrong” with this photo, like exposure and lens flare to name a few, I still find myself really loving this photo I took last summer of Pam in some random *** park. Ok, that was random.

When I get some time, I’m going to see if I can upgrade my Wordpress install to version 2.1, which came out yesterday. It sounds like a pretty major update.

Ok, check ya later! Tuesday is here to kill me. I have 9AM to 9PM. Awesome. Just awesome. Totally awesome. Totally and utterly awesome and fantastic. Just beyond words, really.

the horizontal bungee rope would’ve been much more cooler if it let go of its passenger, kinda like a slingshot.
