Fredrik Broden - My new favorite photographer
If you’re familiar with the cover art for the extremely controversial book, A Million Little Pieces by James Frey, then you’re already familiar with at least one of the works from photographer Fredrik Broden.
I came across his work by accident today as I was doing some photo research for Good Housekeeping magazine (where I currently intern). Good Housekeeping was looking for future photographers to hire for a shoot and I had to do some research on a short list of photographers, one of which was Fredrik Broden.
I opened up Broden’s website and instantly fell in love with it. He makes such great use of his lighting. Not only were his photographs amazing [to me], but his website was so great to play around with too. It’s rare that I come across a photographer with great work and a great portfolio website (it’s usually one or the other). One look at Fredrik Broden’s portfolio and hopefully you’ll see why I now call him my favorite contemporary photographer.
Click the link below to see some examples of his work. But be sure to take a look at his portfolio too if you’ve got some time. Good stuff.
