The ‘no substance’ post

Peter out-farts Michael Moore in Family Guy. I realized that I posted this on JJ, but not on Doobybrain. So here it is, one of the best mini-skits from Family Guy.

Oh, I guess Stewie and his mom is funny too. :)

Everlast made these odd Rocky Desktop Speed Bags. They’re basically desktop punching bags that suction onto your desk top. Anyway, they’re $17.99 if you care to make that purcahse.

Here’s what The Office would look like if it were a drama/thriller. Pretty good. [via]

DailySnap is a pretty good photoblog. A spectacular photo. And yet another.

This, my friends, is the newest flavor from Snapple. It is delicious (and probably bad for you, but who cares!). It’s so good. Out of the Blue-Berry is definitely a must-taste if you haven’t already.

So I started interning at the Hearst Corporation (under Good Housekeeping magazine) and I’m really loving it. The building is fantastic and everything is just so advanced and good looking. Even the bathrooms are fascinating, to say the least. I went into the bathroom there for the first time and I was like, wow, I could live here! So I won’t delve into specifics, but here are some photos of my new workplace.

Here is the building in the day, when I start work.

Here is the building at night, when I get off from work.

hearst desk
My own personal desk and cubicle with a wonderful G5 and super super super fast internet with no restrictions.

Part of my building is connected to the 59th St/Columbus Circle subway station, so here is the basement “entrance” and “exit”.

hearst ID card
And to make things slightly more official, I was given my own Hearst access card today (worst photo ever!). It’s pretty neat (but nothing special, I guess). I can keep the card in my wallet, and the wallet in my pants pockets, and wave my butt in front of sensors and doors will automatically open for me (in certain locations)! It’s all quite fun for me since I’ve never been at a place with this sort of “building features” — ha!

By the way, that Crumpler 40% off un-gifting event is today from 11:30AM to 7:30PM (NYC only). Stop by a store if you’re interested. Or read the previous post for more info.

I bought two books yesterday: American Born Chinese by Gene Yang and A Perfect Mess by Eric Abrahamson and David H. Freedman.

Haha, that “Office” thriller was pretty good.
The stripes on the inside of your jacket make it look more like a mug shot. Is that the one that you bought at Forever21?
