Indexed is quickly becoming a must-visit site for me every morning. Here are a few good ones I’ve taken note of: Scary stories and Efficiency=Cheap Apartment (this one almost single-handedly charts my production cycle at work). :P

Hehe, this is pretty neat. I’m actually doing a stop-motion video myself. But not on skateboarding. When I’m done, you’ll all be able to see it on YouTube. [via]

Ever since the retreat, I’ve gone a bit Tetris-crazy. So crazy that I’ve been oogling over these foam Tetris furniture/play toys. The Tetris magnet shapes ($9.89) are nice as well to put on our refrigerator (imagine if I bought a lot and just filled the entire face of my fridge with these). Or maybe if I’m feeling real ambitious, the Tetris shelving unit would do me in. Wow!

Man, I am going to play with Adobe Lightroom until the sun rises. I was a beta tester for the program and I didn’t keep using it because it took forever to load my EXIF data from my files (maybe it had to cache all the data once through first, but still, it seemed to lag a bit because of that). Anyway, now that it’s out of beta, hopefully the kinks have been worked out. I’ll give it another go. If it doesn’t make my life easier, I’m going to keep using Bridge (which, for now at least, manages my photos quite well). I should get more people on board this train.

Play the Dodge game.
Play Planarity.
Play Mansion Impossible (sell/buy houses).
Play Tontie.

Hi! I’ve been checking your blogs off/on and discovered it through justjared.com. I am really impress with your website and it helps to know what are the ‘other’ neat stuff are out there! :)

I noticed you mention Adobe Lightroom… i was wondering if you’ve had a chance to play with Aperture yet? I have not had the chance to play with either of these programs but do you know the pros/cons for each other of those and if so, which do you recommend?

RE: Smitty
I have used both and I actually prefer Lightroom, mainly because it runs on both OSX and Windows (important when you’re constantly going back and forth from one to the other) and because it is part of the Adobe creative suite which is already more or less standard in terms of image editing in this industry. Don’t get me wrong though, Aperture is a fantastic program, but there really isn’t anything that Lightroom can’t do that Aperture can. Overall, it comes to ease of use and manageability, and in this case, Adobe wins.

RE: Smitty
another note, if you really want, you can run Windows inside Macs now (if you’ve got the Intel chip) and I guess that way you can use both if you really want to. but I wouldn’t recommend it. heh.
