I’m off to Boston for the weekend…!
…but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop updating. Well, technically I guess it does, but if you check back here at 6PM, there’ll be a special treat for some of you. Until I get back, be safe, have fun, and don’t get in trouble. :)
Terminator vs Robocop (and another small surprise). I always root for Terminator though because he’s cooler. The ending to this is kinda funny. You’re gonna need sound for this one, so if you don’t have it at your computer, don’t watch it yet.
Heh, Tetris, according to Wikipedia, is the killer app for Nintendo’s Game Boy. No doubt it could be for the DS as well. Ahh, the random things I read about at work.
Only viewers of The Office will understand this one. But here’s a blog dedicated to how much it would cost Dunder Mifflin if Michael Scott’s actions were actually done in real life at a real company. Haha, he’s so stupid sometimes! :P
Dwight Schrute music video, by NBC. Those crazy people… Gosh!
Oh my goodness, the soon-to-be Xanga front page is so ugly.
Play Virus. Very addictive. Thank God it’s the weekend!
RIGHT NOW ONLY: Target has the black Nintendo DS Lite for $120.97 shipped! OMG, if you don’t have a DS Lite, you need to jump on this deal right now. Like NOW NOW NOW! *ahem* Joe Kim *ahem* AHHH, too late! SOLD OUT!
That Godzilla game for the Wii still looks kinda neat, but why in the hell does Godzilla fight like a human being?! C’mon now…
Here’s a video of a totally fantastic type experiment using a scene from Pulp Fiction as the source of the text. I’d love to do something as fluid as this one day. :) [via]
There are PLENTY of ways to do something of this sort, but if you don’t quite fancy the Rasterbator’s dotted look, then maybe you ought to try out block posters, which basically does the same thing for you without the annoying dots (granted though, sometimes the halftone dots are cool). And just like the Rasterbator gallery, block posters has a gallery too. Heh, I suddenly got the urge to go plastering again… :) I can’t wait till it gets a bit warmer. Just a bit…just a bit.
Oh yeah, if you’re stupid enough, you could also pay to have some company make you a wall poster from your own image. But again, that’s only if you’re stupid enough. -_-
Oh my goodness, RETARDED song and videoooooooooooooooooooooo! Jared writes it better: this video feels so 5th grade.
The mysterious origins of the Autumn wallpaper image in Windows XP. A fascinating hunt for the answer to where that path lies on this Earth. Good news: they find the answer. [via]
Well, hell, somebody at Microsoft ought to know. As it turns out, if they do, they’re not telling.
Curiosity becomes yearning, and yearning becomes obsession. Several friends are drawn into my search. I no longer want merely to find Autumn and go there. I now want to go there and look for a little place to live not far from that leaf-covered path. Photo editors, editor editors, fact-checkers, researchers, computer guys and computer dolls—my motley, shifting, devoted crew come to be known as Team Autumn.
And more in the article…
Now, if you’re curious as to where Bliss, the default wallpaper/background that boots up with Windows XP is from, then you’ll be happy to find out that Bliss is from Napa County, California.
