Mute Math at Gramercy Theater, NYC

I went to my 4th Mute Math concert on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. As always, Mute Math put on another good and exciting show. I don’t think I’ve ever been so fanatical about any band before. I dunno, I just really like Mute Math and their concerts. They’re always real fun and energetic. :)
Anyway, so I totally “lied” my way into the venue with an SLR camera. I didn’t have a media/photo pass this time around but I brought the camera anyway (the 30D taken out from school) and just told them that I should be on the list despite my name not appearing on any official press papers.
I know for a fact that most people who look like they know what’s going on actually don’t . So what I usually do is I just lie and make them second guess themselves on the basis that I sound like I know a bit more than they might; I make them think that maybe they had missed one final preparation for the show that is supposed to let me in. Making somebody doubt themselves is seriously key to getting past low-level “security” because once they start thinking that they might be wrong, anything I say is basically taken as apparent truth. It’s really a matter of making myself sound like I know something they don’t (ie: I’m supposed to have a photo pass. My name’s not here. That’s weird, I was told I would have one ready for me. Can you double check please?…).
I wish Mute Math would just let me go on tour with them. I’d love that.
