Just regurgitating

Clocky, the alarm clock that runs away from you if you put it to snooze, is only selling for $49.99!! I don’t really know how much alarm clocks really go for, but for some reason, this price looks so low. I was thinking that an appliance smart enough to run away from me if I didn’t wake up would at least cost $100.

Here’s a video of Clocky in action. It sounds like R2-D2. Neat, no?

For about these.

Here’s the trailer to Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. The film will come out in theaters on May 25, 2007! AWESOME.

This is seriously one of the funniest and most obnoxious product descriptions I’ve read all week. Seriously though, why do they need to make the simple whistle so complicated?

Google’s new themes for the personalized homepage are kinda neat. There’s only a few at the moment though, but go ahead and play with it. The ’seasonal scape’ theme is nice because it changes with the changing seasons. How clever.

I thought this was pretty useful for those of you who might need it: here’s how to import all of your previous mail from outside of Gmail into Gmail. Now, all Gmail needs to do is make sure 12+ hour outtages don’t happen as frequently as they do (it’s happened to me 3 different times — two of which came at critical times).

Oh, this is nice news: The New York Times TimesSelect is free to all “.edu” address holders. This means that if you attend university, or know somebody who does, you can get access to multimedia, archives, and other NYT material that’s often locked to unsubscribers. It’s free, so you might as well sign up and read up.

Philips has literally just invented the coolest magic ball and/or snow globe ever! It’s digital and it can be loaded with your own images and video. Think of it as a digital picture frame, spiced up to level ‘crazy’. You really have to see the video above. It’s straight-up cool.

I need a Clocky, but it needs better maneuvering because if it gets stuck like in the video, it’ll be so easy for me to hit the snooze. And I wonder how often I’ll need to change the battery…

The laughing in the magicball/snowglobe video is kind of freaky. And the way it works makes me think of The Wizard of Oz.
