OMG I HAVE OMG! YEAH!

So I’m back from a wonderful and incredibly fun weekend in PA. Camp Mount Luther was very nice. Even though the water there tasted and smelled a bit funny, the facilities in general were really good and clean. The houses (or triangles…whatever they were) were the most interesting. I would never build a house like that, but I guess up in the mountains there are uses for such a shape. I am told that the houses are like that because people can just jump straight off the second floor when it snows really badly in the area. I couldn’t really connect the triangle shape idea and the heavy snow concept, but I just took it as that and moved on. Ha!

As with all updates right after an extended leave of absence, this post will be a bit longer than most others.

This is a most awesome photo. I have no idea why there are so many notes attached to that photo though, so don’t ask.

Here is Alanis Morissette doing a spoof of “My Humps” from the Black Eyed Peas. I thought this was really funny.

Oh man, Cursor Run will make time pass by so much faster. Play this only if you really have nothing to do.

Ha! The “mailbag” over at yourscenesucks.com has some really good emails from people who are incredibly offended by that site.

I never thought that a helmet for the Wiimote was ever really needed. But apparently, somebody did, and they created the WiiHelm.

You can buy one for $24.99!

It looks like the MPAA wants to jump on in for the same ride that the RIAA is taking by publishing a list of the most copyright-infringing universities in the US. Columbia University students…umm…be ready? I’m kinda wondering if the MPAA is sending letters to individuals outside of university networks. I’m…just…wondering…

I love planets and I love space. And I love images. So it makes sense that I’d love this visual representation of how large each planet and moon and other spacely objects are in comparison to each other. [via]

Speaking of scale, here’s another scale-related site from Nikon that tries to scale everything in the universe. You can go in to micro-scale or go way out and see things from light years away. It’s all kinda crazy. We humans are small!

Some dude with too much time on his hands has reversed the already-reversed Mute Math music video for “Typical” (you can watch it above). Kinda neat. I hear Mute Math actually learned to play the song backwards and that it wasn’t any trick beyond that. Neat.

Wow, the 34th Street Old Navy flagship store is up for sale. I don’t know much about real estate, but I’d take a chance and say that that’s prime retail space. Expensive, probably.

Judging by size, these casette wallets look like they’d make great camera cases for the Canon Digital ELPHs. They cost $39 though, which is kinda steep. [via]
You can probably buy a wallet similar to this for much cheaper at Pylones. That’s where I got my current camera case (even though it’s really a wallet).

Hahahaha! Awesome. Thanks Joyce.

This bubble gum drop-off box would never work in the city. The EnvyroBubble is meant to clean up city streets, but I think the hardest part will be getting people to actually walk and use them. Still, it’s a nice idea.

Look! It’s where I work!

Over the weekend, I officially announced my photoblog, hermanyung.com, to you all. I’ve been getting some responses about the [sometimes] slow loading times of the page. I think it might have something to do with the server being in California. Or maybe not. Maybe your internet is just slow. Or maybe the cats are on the attack. Anyway, I go to hermanyung.com all the time and it’s never slow for me. So it’s probably likely that your internet just sucks.

I’ll be the first to admit that Lemmings for the PS3 looks really good. I’d want to get a PS3 just for this game. I worried that the simplicity of Lemmings might be lost though. I hope it’s not.

ROFLCOPTER!!

Maybe, just maybe, I’ll buy one of these MagLITE 2-cell D battery LED flashlights. They are bright. Very bright. Brighter than your face. Brighter than an ace. Bright, they are. Bright they shall be! Why the heck did I just write all that?

Today was a good day. Why? Well, because I found out something in my advising appointment that will change my life for the next school year. Classes are classes are classes, eh? Well, not for me! :) More on this later though…!
