So the logo for the 2012 London Olympics was unveiled a couple of days ago and already people are pissed about it.
I really don’t blame them. The 2012 London Olympic games logo is about the ugliest branding I’ve ever seen. If this logo “works”, it works because people remember it as THE UGLIEST FRICKIN LOGO EVER CREATED and not because it’s the logo for the 2012 London Olympic games. So sad!
Check it:
A poll by the BBC News website asked readers to give it a gold, silver or bronze medal, or a wooden spoon if they really didn’t like it. Eighty three percent gave it a wooden spoon.
Hahaha!!
So far, there are reports that the planning for the 2012 London games are way over budget. Here are some images of what London should look like by 2012. More images in their image library.
Here’s a good demonstration of how ridiculous this logo is. Quoted from the video description: “The logo for the London 2012 Olympics cost £400,000. Here is a video of me redesigning the logo in 7.58 minutes. That works out at £478.46 per second. Do you think it was worth it?”
OMG! That’s sooo funny and sooo not funny at the same time!
Wow, the 2012 London Olympic games committee really isn’t off to such a great start…
