Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks

Macy’s annual 4th of July fireworks spectacular is happening again this year on Wednesday @ 9PM in New York City.
There are several different “official” locations to view the fireworks along the East River.
Here’s how to get there if you intend on watching it at one of those locations.
I watched it last year in DUMBO (under the Manhattan Bridge on the Brooklyn side) with Joyce and it was absolutely crazy. It’s nice to sit along the rocks and just watch the city skyline go foggy because of the smoke from the fireworks. If you want a good view DUMBO is a good choice.
Remember, if you intend on going to any of these viewing sites (official or not), you have to go early since crowds usually start lining up and gathering in the afternoon. Like all good things, you’ll have to stand in line and wait for this one. But don’t worry, it’s totally worth it if you haven’t seen it before.
