Hello World!
Channel 7 ABC in NYC made the initial reports of the steam pipe explosion on Wednesday sound very crazy.
If you do a search for “New York Steam Pipe Explosion” on YouTube, you’ll come up with a lot of first-hand videos of Wednesday’s phenomenon. Check ‘em out.
And here’s why NYC has steam pipes in the first place. Of course, I already knew this because I read the best book there is on NYC infrastructure, The Works: Anatomy of a City.
This one’s pretty cool too.
To promote the new Audio A5, Audi has created a website called Rhythm of Lines to show you just how fluid the new A5 really is. Well, you don’t really get the sense of how rhythmic the A5 is from this, but hey, it’s fun to make colorful lines with. Yeah?
Call me naive, but I had never heard the phrase, “eating one’s own dog food” before yesterday. Apparently, it’s a commonly used phrase to say that one is using one’s own product as a show of support and confidence in it.
I ate spam yesterday and afterwards, I really wished that the SPAMmobile would drive by my apartment and deliver me some free SPAM.
Did you know that according to official SPAM company documents, the correct way to use the word “spam” when talking about the Hormel food product is to spell it in all caps like so: SPAM. And also, it is really only supposed to be used as an adjective, for example when saying “SPAM ;uncheon meat”. I learned that from Wikipedia!
Doobybrain.com now runs the Gregarious Wordpress plugin, so that you can email posts to friends (just look for the “Share this” button at the end of each post). I know nobody at the moment emails my posts, but if you wanted to, the way to do it is now easily and readily available to you. And now you know!
Peace!
