Tuesdays are incredibly I’m making these titles NO SENSE yeah!

Ha! This MAD TV Grey’s Anatomy spoof is so funny. Look at Sandra Oh’s character, Christina! And Meredith! LOLLERCOASTER!!

The Simpsons movie is probably one of the most anticipated movies of this entire year. And within days of its release, there are already torrents with CAM versions online (probably incredibly unclear and not worth downloading at all). Anyway, The Pirate Bay has put out a Simpsons-themed logo to commemorate the Simpsons movie torrents readily available to all.

Not much to be said about this: the world’s largest ketchup packet.
Here’s the press release from Heinz:

The estimated 1,500 lb. Heinz Ketchup packet will stand 8 feet tall, 4 feet wide and 9 ½ inches thick and is expected to make Guinness Book history. This larger-than-life-size packet will contain nearly 130 gallons of Heinz Ketchup and serve as the key ingredient for a community-wide festival and local school fundraiser.

That’s too much ketchup! Too much!

So I’m taking this class called Popular Culture and the Moving Image, and in it we discuss how video and film give tribute to each other by incorporating certain elements of style and cinematic references. In particular, the video above is directly taken from the original Gene Kelly Singing In The Rain sequence. The only difference is that Volkswagen decided to add a bit of modern flair to their commercial. It’s not a big revelation, but the reason why companies do this is so that they can immediately establish familiarity and knowledge (quality, presence, nostalgia, etc.) connected to a product. Advertisers are keen at using this technique. This class makes me watch TV differently than I used to. I can’t really explain it, but it’s enlightening in that small, weird sort of way.

If anybody wants an invite to try Pownce, I have 10 to give away. Leave a comment and I’ll send you one.

These Hot Wheels ads really hit close to him. I find them perfectly executed because they bring back great memories of when I used to play with little cars and “vroom and zoom” all over the furniture and objects in my house. I made a racetrack out of everything and anything. It was good!

Everybody should go to the Sprinkles cupcake website right now and vote for New York City to be the next location to have a Sprinkles cupcake location to be open! I know NYC may be saturated with cupcake locations, but this place looks great enough to stand out on its own!!
