I need to start sleeping earlier.
I just came back from watching The Simpsons Movie. It was quite entertaining and funny and definitely worth the approximate $7.785 USD I spent to watch it! Hahaha! You can see my rating for it on my movies page.
I also got to watch Amélie for the first time today in class. I have this class called Digital Video Projects where I just watch full-length movies (good ones too!) in every class and then we casually talk about them. It’s my favorite class so far. It’s a quirky and funny [French] romantic comedy with a surprising twist (I can’t say what the twist is in case somebody reading this hasn’t yet seen the film). By the way, Amélie is totally worth buying the DVD for. I think I might just do that.
I hate logging in to Facebook every time I start my browser. The site just never keeps me logged in (I guess it’s for good security purposes). Assuming that your browser is Firefox and that you have your username and password saved, you can install this Greasemonkey script to auto login to Facebook.
These tape signs are giving me all sorts of new ideas…
I never had the urge to ever play around with a microwave, so I’m glad at least somebody does and has filmed it for me to see. No hurting here.

The Spice Girls are going to try and take over the world again…
yooooooooooo I’ll tell ya what I want what I really really want…Oh boy…save the music please…
If I were in NYC, seeing The Go! Team in concert would have been a great birthdya present (they are going to be at the Bowery Ballroom on October 27). Unfortunately, I am here in Melbourne until next June, so I’ll have to hold off on any Go! Team concerts (phooey). Even more unfortunate is that they will not be performing in Australia at all! What’s the deal????
Anyway, The Go! Team are releasing their next album, Proof of Youth, in September. Stay tuned.
Thanks Steve for the heads up!
In much better news, I may have the opportunity to see Kaiser Chiefs live here in Melbourne!! Ok, just kidding. Tickets were sold out ages ago!
I am refilling my Telstra pre-paid wireless card way too often. Maybe I’m just too used to having a plan back in NYC that had virtually “limitless” minutes. So far during my time here in Australia, I have had to watch my calling times like a hawk because I never quite know when my pre-paid sim card will just up and run out on me. I’m having a suspicious feeling that it charges me every time I push my “talk” button, even if the call doesn’t technically get dialed. I dunno, I could be making that up.

Friends here are telling me to ditch Telstra and hook up with Vodafone’s $29 pre-pay plan that gives you $130 credit. I looked into that plan and it seems almost too good to be true! How can Vodafone afford to give away $130 worth of credit for only $29???? I didn’t see any fine print or anything, so I don’t know if this deal really is just a steal. I’m gonna go ask tomorrow in a store and be a jerk about LAYING DOWN THE LINE.
By the way, my Samsung phone has proven itself vital in my day-to-day survival here. I love my Samsung T629, it works great overseas and internationally.
