Gross: The new Apple iMac

What the heck did Apple just release to the masses? The new Apple iMac is unlike anything Apple has created in the past couple of years. This machine is ugly! The “brushed aluminum” clashes with that odd black border. And already, the “brushed aluminum” looks old, outdated, and cheap.
The standard white iMac’s were so much better looking. It’s weird to against the brushed aluminum look in such a way because I think the Mac Pro’s silver look is great (especially when paired with a silver Apple cinema display), but there’s just something that strikes a wrong chord in me when I see this new iMac design. It’s like I know something is not right almost immediately.

And don’t even get me started on the horrible MacBook-like keyboard they are introducing along with the new iMac. Yuck. The tactile feedback on those keyboards are horrible. In fact, I dare to say that so far, all of Apple’s keyboards are terrible. But this new one takes the cake.
Oh well. At least I can rest assured that Parsons will never buy an iMac. :)
Now…RMIT…that’s a different story. RMIT is iMac-whore…
Thankfully, I’ll be gone even before the IT department can get these new iMac computers. So for now, I can still work with the “old” white iMac computers which are easy on my eyes. Whew!
