And sings my soul

So I’ve been blogging a lot lately. I think it’s because it keeps my mind at work so that I don’t have to really think about some other stuff. My mind has literally been racing for the past few nights. It’s the weirdest combination (and sensation) of insomnia and clouded-mind! I guess if I look at it one way, it is sort of annoying. But if I look at it another way, it’s entirely hilarious. And how do I keep most of you interested in what I’m talking about without having to actually know what it is that I’m talking about? Why, that’s easy. I just talk about it in the most vague way possible. Like this!

Ha! It only took me several months, but finally, Doobybrain.com is #2 in a Google search for “Herman Yung”. For what seemed like an eternity, that “Flickr: doobybrain” result kept appearing before hermanyung.com and doobybrain.com! And now I have beat it down to take the #3 spot! YES!

After realizing that the word ‘blog‘ has been around for much much much much longer than Doobybrain.com, I figured I can’t make the false claim of being around since before the word blog even existed. So, I changed the meta tag to read something even more plain and stupid. Google should pick it up by tomorrow.

The Killers – When You Were Young
I’ve never seen the video for this song before (even though I love the song itself) and I can definitively say that this is one of the weirdest music videos I’ve ever seen.

The live version of When You Were Young is a bit more interesting to me. Those stage lights that come in from behind them towards the middle of this video are pretty cool.

Live performance of Ruby by Kaiser Chiefs.

I miss my brown kit. But if things work out, I may be sitting behind a drumset sooner than I thought. :)

In Australia, Vater Manhattan 7A drumsticks are over $20! WHAT?! I hope when I go to the music store there’s some local company that makes an equivalent drumstick for much cheaper.

Just because I absolutely love the site, here’s a link to Comically Large Things. Hilarious!

I love the fact that if I can’t watch David Crowder Band in concert, then I can at least watch them online through videos and somewhat get the same performance, since all of their live performances are more or less exactly the same (almost scripted, even).

Here’s the band performing Forever and Ever, etc. which includes the totally awesome Mario Bros. theme towards the middle. I heard them play this at Creation Festival East and it was totally fantastic! If you want to skip to it, it comes in at around 4:20.

HAHAHAHA. OMG. Mr. Potato Head looks so ridiculous in this Spiderman costume
There are more Mr. Potato Heads to look at here.

I love old packaging design. There’s a whole mess of them to look at in that link, so enjoy! [via]

Here’s a perfect example of how too much of a good thing can be bad for you: Girl overdoses on espresso coffee. The jackpot: She now talks and warns others of the dangers of drinking too much caffeine. Uh, no duh.
As always, the rule of thumb is to take everything sparingly.

Well well! Now that you can find out who is hosting a site, what’s left to ponder? Why, of course it would have to be what that site is built with! I’d say it’s fairly extensive in its website findings.

It’s been a while since I linked to a new Sbemail, so here is #174, where Strong Bad and The Cheat go mini-golfing.
