There’s been some talk online lately about Facebook coming out with a version of their site tailored to the iPhone. I’ve read a couple of reviews of the site already and generally they all seem pretty impressed.
However, since I don’t own an Apple iPhone, I figured the iPhone version of Facebook would not interest me at all.
WRONG!
Since the URL for the iPhone version of Facebook was well-known, I decided to punch it into my browser just for kicks to see what it was like. What I came across next was totally unexpected. It turns out that Facebook looked better on the iPhone than it did as a regular website. Gone were all the Facebook applications and in front of me was a prettier version of Facebook the core of what Facebook is — namely, the profile, the friends, the photos, the messages, and the wall.
If you’re not a fan of all of those seemingly useless Facebook applications on everybody’s page, then I suggest you browse Facebook from now on using this address.
I absolutely love how the webpage just slides and glides across my browser. Yum!
