Roast of Flavor Flav

I have this love-hate relationship concerning Flavor Flav. Yes, I know he’s one of the most influential rap artists alive and that he pioneered a lot of what rap actually is today, but for some reason I just can’t take the man seriously.

I mean, who can? He wears a friggin’ huge clock around his neck (often it doesn’t even show the correct time — it’s just there). Anyway, I say I have a love-hate relationship with the public figure because I hate everything about his personality — the outlandish remarks, the style/fashion of dress, the clock, the ridiculous head gear that he dons — but I also love to talk about the guy. Flavor Flav has continually proven to be a topic of much interest and discussion when he finds a way to pop into one of my conversations. He also makes a good character to pin-up in a game of Would You Rather.

Comedy Central’s annual Roast this year featured Flavor Flav on the throne. For those who don’t know, the Comedy Central Roast is basically an annual show where one main person is chosen to be ragged on for the entire length of the show. It’s all for fun and ratings and it’s usually pretty funny and entertaining. I wasn’t able to catch any of it on TV since it doesn’t air in Australia, but I did manage to watch the good clips from some of the Roasters on YouTube [YouTube has since pulled these videos from its site for violation of copyrights].

If you want to watch the very funny (and very dirty) Comedy Central Roast of Flavor Flav, then you’re gonna have to download the torrent. If you download it and are able to upload it, please send me a message and let me know. :)

Everything about this little dude is funny — his physical appearance, his awfully insane catchphrases…EVERYTHING. Actually, the fact that he’s even more famous today than he was in the 80’s is funny to me. Enjoy the show! It’s on re-runs for a bit so maybe you’ll be able to catch it on TV.
