The Circle Project by Richard Sarson

AT first glance, Richard Sarson’s work seems like nothing extraordinary. It’s just circles right? Well, you are right. But when you take a closer look and see just how much detail and precision is in these things, you’ll realize that, sure, you can make circles too, but you probably can’t make them look as good as Richard Sarson’s circles.

From what I hear and read, Richard Sarson merely uses colored pens and a compass to create these things. None of those fancy art sets or anything like that.
The circles are from a series he calls “The Circle Project”. His circles were so good in fact that he was commissioned to do a music video for Fell City Girl’s Swim. Watch that video below.

Pretty neat huh? If you want to see some scaled-down versions of his work, do so after the jump.

i used to make stuff like that during class. i wasn’t a very good doodler, so i used a compass and shape stencils. albeit they were not as intricate as these, they were pretty cool and i didn’t just do circles! :P
