Keep track of hurricane strengths and positions with this Google Maps hurricane tracking map. You can select hurricane data from all the way to 1851 and compare them with how hurricanes move today.

If you’re not on the Atlantic coast, you can also track the hurricanes on the West Pacific and the East Pacific as well. Or I guess you can always go to the National Hurricane Center for up-to-the-minute information.

Also, take a look at how much damage a Category 1 to Category 5 hurricane will do with this interactive page from the Associated Press.
