My last email must have struck a particularly amusing chord with some of you when I listed ‘Twinkies’ as one of the things I missed most about home, because just today I received my second jumbo-sized box of Twinkies (the first one, here)! How lovely!

This time, the box of delicious treats comes courtesy of the wonderful Ivy! Check it out…

This particular package was opened by Australia Post for a quarantine check. I’m not sure what they thought was in here other than what was written on the outside label, but apparently it was enough to scare them into opening it!

Inside was, of course, a box of Twinkies and some pamphlets left over from the Australia Post about what you can and cannot send to/from Australia. How informative! More importantly, there was a good old fashioned letter and postcard from my favorite Scaddy in Savvy. Mmm!

I’m holding back for now on eating one-a-day, particularly because I know they can probably kill me (and I really don’t want to get sick of them). Still, I love these things to DEATH (pun intended — HA HA HA). I’m so glad I can call two whole boxes my own!

A special treat to the person(s) to send me a third large box of Twinkies! I should see how many I can accumulate. Or if you’re feeling up to it, you can purchase Twinkie, Deconstructed and send me a copy since I haven’t bought one yet and it’s not on sale here in Australia. Thank goodness these things don’t expire quickly.
