Oh, those Chinese…

Remember those in-ear headphones from Deal Extreme that were VERY VERY cheap?
Well, they came in today and I really can’t complain. They were $1.99 USD with free shipping! I wasn’t expecting much really. They do what they do. They don’t feel absolutely comfortable, but they certainly do a great job of bootlegging the actual real iPod in-ear headphones. From a distance these cheap-o versions look like the real deal!
Anyway, Deal Extreme is a Chinese company (I’m pretty sure) and like many Chinese businesses they skim corners to save every little bit of money they can. The package label said the contents were a “gift” and that it was an “LED flashlight”, none of which are true. It probably saved them a few dollars on tariffs and customs.
But yeah, I’d order from Deal Extreme again. :) I’m pretty satisfied with my $1.99 in-ear headphones. I can’t really complain with that price, even if they aren’t necessarily up to par with my standards. :D They have a bunch of other stuff I’m looking at like that IR camera remote.
