Giving Timbaland another chance

I remember when I first listened to Timbaland’s latest album, Timbaland Presents Shock Value. I didn’t really like it (except for “Give It To Me” which sort of became a summer anthem).
And even after a few times around I still didn’t like it. So I scrapped it.
Little did I know that it would come right back around to me again a couple of months later. I recently gave the album another go with my ears and I really liked it! Nothing about the album changed since the last time I listened to it, so maybe I just had a slight adjustment of musical preference.
The video above for “The Way I Are” is unimpressive, but the track is so fun to walk to! It’s perfectly on track with NYC walking tempo and I often feel that when I’m listening to it on my iPod while I’m walking, that I get to my destinations sooner.
If you can tune out the retarded lyrics, the music portion of each track is actually quite delightful to listen to (except for maybe the second to last track which features Fall Out Boy — man, I want to rip my ears off).
