The World Beard and Moustache Championships

Every two years, men with intense facial hair growth come from all over to gather and compete in The World Beard and Moustache Championships.
This year, the event took place on September 1st and contestants were judged on three main criteria: mustaches, partial beards, and full beards.
Some of this year’s participants were formally photographed by Sheri Manson for Time Magazine. The gallery is just astounding.
