Harlem in 13 Gigapixels

Here is Harlem, New York in 13 glorious gigapixels, shot by Gerard Maynard (he holds the current record for largest digital photograph). That’s 1 billion pixels in there.
If you look at the image I supplied for you, the top portion has a small circle with an arrow pointing at it. The bottom portion of the image (the Spring Scaffolding sign) is what you see inside that circle at about full resolution. That. Is. Insane.
Seeing the image in “HD View” is pretty neat. You’ll have to install a small plugin, but after that, you can view the 13GP Harlem photograph in full-immersion. :)

thats crazy. have you heard of the world’s largest photograph? its at art center in pasadena and it was made with a pinhole in an airplane.
