San Francisco based artist and producer Scott Hansen is most commonly known for is incredible graphic design work at ISO50. If you visit the site, you’ll be greeted not only with great work to see but also good music to hear.

That music is Scott Hansen’s music project called Tycho.

Tycho is the kind of music I would put on if I needed something relaxing and soothing to listen to. It’s the perfect mix of ambient noise and sound that would do great in a lounge. In my opinion, it’s some of the best type of music to turn on for some good and unobtrusive background music (you know, something to fill up a silent room other than a TV).

Tycho’s most recent album is Past is Prologue and you can stream the whole album from the website. Perfect for when I’m working in the computer lab without my iPod…

Click inside if you want to see the video for “Dictaphone’s Lament” from Past is Prologue.

tycho’s really cool. i used to keep that site running in the background so that the music will come through. the song “past is prologue” on the first album is good.

they’re sorta like mute math without the drummer and vocals.
