Some stuff before Perth
For Perth, I went and bought a 4GB Lexar Professional compact flash card. It’s awesome. I put it into my camera and the number of shots I can take is beyond what my camera can even show. So this is perfect for my trip. I now have 6GB of compact flash storage for my camera (one 2GB card and one 4GB card). I’m actually wondering if I will take 6GB worth of pictures on this trip. A part of me hopes I don’t and a part of me hopes I do.
I’m not sure if I’ll use it, but I also bought an underwater housing (case) for my Canon SD450. I was so impressed by it. Because of the colors, it reminds me of a children’s toy, but it certainly is not.
When my SD450 sits inside, it fits so snugly and all the functions work perfectly. It’s exactly what I was expecting in terms of quality and ease-of-use.
I tested it by putting a piece of tissue inside and then submerging it in my sink and the tissue didn’t get wet at all. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since the housing is supposed to keep whatever’s inside dry.
Home Brand is the common generic store brand here in Australia at Safeway Supermarkets. While there’s nothing special about their packaging, I think it does present the product in a very good way. It’s clean, the colors are of high contrast, and the product name is usually in very big and black bold type. I think the packaging just looks neat.
Ok, that’s all! I’m just about all packed! Man, so excited!!
