1000-pound pumpkin dropped on a bus

Every year, Fir Point Farms in Portland, Oregon host an event that can only be described as monstrous — they drop a large and heavy pumpkin onto an unlucky vehicle.

On Saturday, October 6, 2007, Fir Point Farms used a crane to hoist a 1000-pound pumpkin 100 feet over a gutted-out bus. The result? Well, let’s just say that both the pumpkin and the bus were of no more good use. You have to watch the video to see what I mean.

Click inside if you want to see the 2006 pumpkin drop in which a little tiny car was crushed by yet another 1000-pound pumpkin.

Can somebody tell me just what these farmers are feeding their crops to get such large pumpkins every year?!

Humans maybe? Like in Little Shop of Horrors. Heh heh.

But seriously, what a waste of food!
