So stupid: Xanga adds MORE Snap Shots

Man, talk about sealing the coffin. Xanga just announced even more Snap Shots on Xanga pages including the subscription feed page.

This seems like such a lazy way to go about things, especially when the post author encourages the use of Snap Shots to view images in the subscription feed (where normally a “” tag is displayed).

Have they ever addressed the issue of WHY images can’t be shown in the subscription feed in the first place? Because I think actually SHOWING the images would make more sense than adding Snap Shot preview bubbles all over the place. Snap Shots is just one of the most annoying web technologies to surface in recent years and to see Xanga implement it in such a heavy way really goes to show just how horrible of a place Xanga has become.
