Sorry for all the DeLorean posts lately. I just keep coming across information on them. Consider this the final post (for now).

Anyway, as I was writing those two previous DeLorean entries, I came across some information about 3 very special gold DeLorean vehicles that rolled off assembly lines in the early 80’s.

While most DeLorean cars in the 80’s came out of the factory with no paint job whatsoever (hence the iconic brushed metal/steel look), there were 3 that did come covered completely with 24-karat gold! So instead of that brushed-metal look, you got that gold-brick look! And since there are only 3, you can bet they are big attractions at their final resting places.

Here is where you can find 2 of them (and maybe, if you’ve got the money, you can buy the third one).

Each of the three DeLoreans are quite unique, with one sporting an all-black interior rather than the saddle-brown interior of the other two. See more pictures and read more about these very rare 24-karat gold DeLoreans here. I would like to see one in person, but I sure as hell would never want to buy one to drive around.

Watch the slightly annoying video interview on the gold DeLorean below.
