American Eagle “Make-It-Yours” custom hoodies

The American Eagle Outfitters custom hoodies are a bit disappointing.

To say that this is a personalized one-of-a-kind hoodie is stretching the meaning just a little bit. I say this because there are only 10 colors to choose from for the main hoodie color and then another 15 colors on top of that for the logo color — all of which are only color combinations on the exact same hoodie design. And to “make it your own”, you get to add a personalized tag and a number. Big whoop. Basically, the only portion of this custom hoodie process that actually makes it your own is the tag…which is unseen except by you (or the person who may do your laundry).

Color customization is probably the easiest and laziest form of customization on a hoodie. They should have added small graphics or something that you can mix and match from. Or allow you to custom stitch something. Or allow you to silkscreen something of your own. Anything but bland color combinations, all of which you could probably find at any standard clothing store. These colors aren’t anything unique. Step it up, AE.

Hi, Just a note so that everyone is aware that AE is not a customer friendly place to shop. Purchased a jacket, received damaged….asked for a discount for the shipping and extra work…..no way…too bad, so sad!! I will never order from American Eagle again!!
