Perth photos (two of many)
On our second day in Perth, we took the day off from doing any official traveling and decided to just relax at the beach. We took the TransPerth rail train to the beach (sorry, I don’t know the name of it). But it was a nice place with only a moderate amount of people. We were lucky on this day too because we caught the sun for pretty much the whole day (the day before was raining and for 2 consecutive days after this, it rained too).

Here’s the train station platform at Perth.

The TransPerth trains resembled old LIRR cars.

The train station itself was very nice.

The crosswalks at the train station near the beach were at ground level with the train — there was nothing separating us from the tracks.

Hah, as expected, we were early for true Summer weather. It was warm, but it wasn’t HOT. And the water was only slightly above freezing. Still, we felt it would be a waste not to sunbathe at the beach — no matter what temperature. In the photo: Rainer, me, Simon
At this beach, I gave my brand new underwater camera housing its first taste of salt water! It was SOOOOOO fun to use! Here are some delightful photos. I have videos too, but I haven’t uploaded those yet. I’ll post those videos at another date.

Underwater housing for my camera in use!!!

The waves were pretty big here. I was constantly being thrown back onto the shore despite trying my best to stay put in the sea. Oh yeah, did I mention that I love my underwater housing?

This is an awesome photo of Thomas on top of a wave.

This is probably the only time I’ll ever see anybody at the beach with sweatshirts on. Ahh, Perth weather! :P

For lunch at the beach, I had delicious fish and chips from Cott’s.
After a good, fun day at the beach, we took the bus back to the train station and then back to Perth to our hostel.
Late that night, a bunch of us just decided to stroll around the city (after dinner). Almost everything was closed except for this one cafe where we ended up sitting down for coffee.

Here am I trying to do that “doop” sound.

Thomas’ hair is outta control.

Chris trying to teach me how to do the hand whistle thing…I can’t do it.

One the way back, I saw these neat pigeons…reminded me of NYC!
That pretty much concludes our second day in Perth at the beach! Not much to show on this day since we were most chillin’ out max and relaxin’ all cool…shootin’ some b-ball outside of school…JK JK JK. :D
