Today is package and gift day!

This morning, right before 8:30AM, the Australia Post buzzed my bell and told me to come down to receive two packages. At first, I thought the buzzer was actually the fire alarm because it was very, very loud, and because I had never had anyone buzz the bell before so I didn’t know it was the bell that was making that sound. Anyway, I went down to get packages. Yep, not just one package, but TWO!
I was expecting one package since I knew my Sony headphones would come in any day now. But I wasn’t expecting the other package which was much bigger (and heavier). So here are my headphones.

Now, the other package was a pleasant surprise. It was from family back home! :)
Inside this second package was a whole Pandora’s box of goodies, including…
- Bendable and poseable Gumby - This was a funny coincidence since I had just posted this entry about Gumby and there was no way Emily could have known that I would do that on the same day that I would receive this package.
- Western Digital 250GB Passport portable harddrive (black) - OMG, this paid off. :)
- The Down-to-Earth Guide to Global Warming - From Tiffany; this makes learning about Global Warming a lot more fun than, say, reading a whole scientific journal article about it.
- A catepillar screen cleaner - Wow, my family must have ESP because I seriously needed one of these for my laptop screen and I had not told anybody in my family that I needed one.
- A cheap-o LED flashlight - This might be from Simon since I remember him saying something about buying a flashlight from DealExtreme a while ago and this certainly looks like it would come from China. Haha, this is probably a half-joke though, because Simon knows I already have a LED maglite. Funny! :)
- Two Halloween finger toys from Yung Kee (or Real Evergreen). Haha, this could be from ANYBODY in my family. I’d probably do the same if I were to send a birthday package to another family member overseas.
- This “Prairie Green” TOMY toy…thing. I’m not really sure what it is exactly because the entire thing is in Japanese. But I assume it’s a desk toy that “grows” over time. It has a solar-energy thing on the front (probably where it gathers its energy from). Oddly enough, this TOMY thing looks like something straight out of the Grow Island game.
- A cool and “girly” 21st birthday pop-up card (see photo above).
I attached some photos below. It’s my birthday, I get to show off and brag a bit! :)

I love my family back home! :D
- Oh, those Chinese…
- I have a ‘flux capacitor’ coming to me
- Twinkies and “KANG”aroos!
- Happy birthday Simon!
- A Zune, some Dunkin Donuts coffee, and games
